DLH Health Food Bank is a platform for Health Promotion and Education; it is not a lucrative business; but instead it is a free service to the Rio Grande Valley communities. During this weekly service, the following events take place:

DLH Healthy Food Bank does not compete at all with the Rio Grande Food Bank; contrary, we join efforts and work together to make a difference in the Rio Grande Valley.

Many entities in the RGV will participate in DLH Healthy Food Bank;
a Network of participants has already been established.
Dr. Ekoumou gives a Health Talk; he orients the crowd on basic health principles before the distribution of Healthy Food Boxes on a weekly basis.
